Stanford Online is Stanford University’s online learning provider. Operated by the Stanford Engineering Center for Global & Online Education, it connects a global audience with the teaching and research of Stanford faculty. Its offering includes credit-bearing courses, certificates and degrees, professional education, and free and open-access material.1,2

An editorial identity

Established in 1995, the Stanford Engineering Center for Global & Online Education designs and delivers online, in-person and blended learning with Stanford faculty, departments, schools and centers. It operates Stanford Online and provides academic pathways, professional programs, custom learning formats, and open educational resources.1

The Stanford Online channel also preserves university courses, lectures and long-form conversations as video. Ooléle’s Jensen Huang Special draws in part on the 2011 interview titled “Jen-Hsun Huang: Stanford student and Entrepreneur,” in which Stanford Online presents his path as an engineer, entrepreneur and NVIDIA cofounder.3,4
