Interview media platform and community
Founders Connect
Founders Connect is a media platform created by Peace Itimi to document the journeys of African and Black founders, operators and innovators around the world. It began with extended YouTube interviews and expanded into documentaries, public events and a community connecting the technology ecosystem with the people building it.1,2
01 — The profile
An editorial identity
Founders Connect conversations typically follow a guest’s journey over time: childhood, education, early career choices, company formation, mistakes, financing and leadership decisions. That chronology distinguishes the series from news coverage or a short promotional interview. Its purpose is to preserve enough human and operating context to understand how both a company and its founder developed.1
The platform has moved beyond its original YouTube format by producing documentaries and organizing events for the African technology ecosystem. Peace Itimi remains its creator and a principal interviewer, while Founders Connect now has a durable editorial identity of its own. Because the media brand, show and channel use the same name, Ooléle keeps one canonical source profile instead of creating several nearly identical entities.2,1,3
