01 · The profile

An editorial identity

The community traces its history to a Vanguard forum opened on Morningstar in March 1998. A standalone site, Bogleheads.org, was created in 2007. The Bogle Center was then organized in 2010 as a nonprofit to extend John C. Bogle’s legacy through education and community participation.1

Bogleheads on Investing launched in September 2018 with support from the Bogle Center. The program features conversations with investing authors, researchers and practitioners. Ooléle keeps Bogleheads as the single public source for the podcast and channel while identifying the Bogle Center’s institutional role without creating a duplicate editorial entity.2,3,4
